What is Madras eye?




Conjunctivitis is also called Madras eye. It was named so, because the Adenovirus causing conjunctivitis was first discovered at Madras in 1918. Conjunctivitis is also called pink eye. In order to avoid the spread of conjunctivitis, one should wash his/her hand with soap frequently. 

So today's carry home is to wash you hands with soap to keep yourself safe from conjunctivitis.
