Yes, you are right it is conjunctivitis. The infected person touches his eye and gives money to another healthy person and the healthy person rubs his eye,the healthy person will also get affected with conjunctivitis. In order to avoid this, the money should be placed in sunlight for 2 hours so that the Adenovirus, causing conjunctivitis will die. And frequent washing of hands with soap is advisable.
